Understanding the Spiritual Battle Around Scripture
Many believers notice something interesting: the moment they decide to consistently read the Bible, distractions suddenly increase.
Fatigue appears. They suddenly want to sleep. In addition:
Schedules become busy.
Phones become irresistible.
What once seemed easy suddenly feels difficult.
This is not accidental.
The enemy understands something many believers underestimate — a believer grounded in the Word becomes spiritually dangerous.
The Word Reveals Truth
One of the enemy’s greatest strategies is deception. Lies thrive in darkness and confusion.
But Scripture exposes deception.
Jesus said in John 8:32: “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The more the Word becomes part of your life, the stronger your spiritual authority becomes.

The Word equips you to:
- resist temptation
- discern spiritual attacks
- pray effectively
- stand firm in faith
A believer who knows the Word cannot easily be intimidated spiritually.
The Altar Is Where the Word Comes Alive
The altar is where believers encounter God through prayer, surrender, and worship.
But the Word gives direction to what happens after the encounter.
At the altar:
- burdens are surrendered
- hearts are softened
- prayers are lifted
But it is the Word that teaches us how to live transformed lives afterward.
Without Scripture, altar experiences fade.
With Scripture, altar experiences become lasting transformation.

If you want to grow spiritually, you must guard your time in Scripture intentionally.

Quiet moments allow the Word to sink deeper.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth.

But he is deeply concerned about believers who:
- know the Word
- believe the Word
- and live according to the Word
Because a believer rooted in Scripture becomes spiritually unshakable.
And when that believer comes to the altar in prayer, their words carry authority.
