“Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us… He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” — Colossians 2:14
Altars are not silenced by emotion, intensity, or volume.
They are silenced by legal authority.
Ungodly altars speak because something has given them permission. To silence them, that permission must be revoked and replaced. This is the power of the cross—not merely forgiveness, but legal cancellation.
1. Why Rebuking Alone Is Not Enough
Many believers rebuke spirits but never address the structure empowering them.
Jesus did not merely confront demons—He addressed authority, legitimacy, and jurisdiction.
“This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” — Matthew 17:21
Some resistance remains because:
- A covenant was never renounced
- A sacrifice was never replaced
- An altar was never dismantled
Spiritual authority operates within legal order.
2. Altars Speak in Legal Language
Scripture consistently frames spiritual matters as legal proceedings:
- Accusation and defense
- Witness and testimony
- Covenant and cancellation
“The accuser of our brethren… has been cast down.” — Revelation 12:10
Altars function as witnesses in the courts of heaven. If their testimony stands uncontested, they continue to speak.
Deliverance requires replacement, not just resistance.
3. The Cross as the Supreme Altar
The cross is not merely a symbol—it is the highest altar ever erected.
At the cross:
- Blood was shed legally
- Covenants were fulfilled
- Accusations were canceled
“It is finished.” — John 19:30
This declaration ended every other altar’s claim—if enforced.
4. Legal Steps to Silencing Ungodly Altars
Biblical silencing follows divine order:
1. Recognition
You cannot silence what you refuse to acknowledge.
2. Repentance
Not self-condemnation, but alignment with truth.
3. Renunciation
Breaking agreement with every ungodly altar.
4. Replacement
Establishing a new altar through Christ.
This mirrors Gideon’s victory—Baal’s altar was torn down and replaced with an altar to the Lord (Judges 6:25–26).
5. The Blood of Jesus as Legal Evidence
The blood of Jesus does not plead—it testifies.
“…the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things…” — Hebrews 12:24
Where accusation speaks guilt, the blood speaks righteousness.
Where altars demand payment, the blood declares paid in full.
The authority of the blood is activated through faith, confession, and obedience.
6. Why Some Breakthroughs Are Instant
When legal resistance is removed, manifestation follows naturally.
Jesus spoke one word and demons left—not because He shouted, but because authority was uncontested.
Once ungodly altars are silenced:
- Resistance collapses
- Peace replaces striving
- Movement becomes effortless
Victory is not force—it is alignment.
7. Maintaining a Silenced Altar
Altars can be reactivated through neglect.
To maintain freedom:
- Guard obedience
- Stay aligned with truth
- Maintain worship and repentance
The altar of Christ must remain active in daily life.
Closing Prayer…
Father,
We thank You for the finished work of the cross.
We acknowledge that every accusation, covenant, and claim against us was nailed there.
By faith, we revoke every permission granted to ungodly altars.
We establish the cross of Jesus Christ as the final and supreme altar in our lives.
Let every competing voice be silenced, and let righteousness speak on our behalf.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
