We Are Not Allowed To Cast Satan To Hell!
What kind of authority did God give us over Satan? What are we allowed to do, and what are we not allowed to do?
Just know that you cannot do any, and anything to the devil! Yes, believe it or not! There are rules in the spiritual realm that not even God Himself can go against… especially since He’s the one who made them.
We are not allowed to do everything to the devil even in spiritual warfare. This is why some people will pray shouting ‘I cast you back to the pit of hell!’ Or “I cast you back to the bottomless pit!” and the problem persists or even worsens.
Why?
According to Revelation 9:1-4, the gate of hell is closed and will be opened at a time ordered by God. Satan has not yet been judged here in the physical so all that will happen is that Satan will bounce right back after hitting that closed gate to hell. We do not have the power to cast him there.
9 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. (KJV)
Revelation 20:1-3 talks about the angel coming with the key to the bottomless pit, bounding Satan, casting him in, and locking it. There he will be for 1000 years, locked away. So when a person fights spiritual warfare casting demons and Satan to the pit of hell or into the bottomless pit – this is spiritually impossible.
“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season”. (KJV)
Instead, pray that the unclean spirit or demon be cast into the dry lands—
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.” Matthew 12:43
This is what we are allowed to do, cast them back to dry lands, and there they will have no host to work through so they will be restless walking up and down – tormented. However, if that person from whom demons are cast out does not replace that space with the presence of the Living God, that demon can return with more demons and their situation can be worse. Therefore, it is very important to invite Christ to take up residence in you after deliverance. Allow Him to lead and direct you so those demons have no opening to return.
